EWUF. EQUIPO INDEPENDIENTE EUROPEO DE ATLETAS DE WUSHU

"JUNTA EJECUTIVA ESTAMENTO OFICIAL DE LA EWUF

    Como una parte de la política de la EWUF para ayudar a la élite de los atletas de Wushu potenciales y activos afectados por las restricciones deliberadas y la falta de actividad de sus respectivas federaciones nacionales de wushu del país, la Junta Ejecutiva de la Federación Europea de Wushu ha creado un equipo de Atletas Independientes de Wushu de Europa (IEWA en inglés) para participar en el Campeonato Europeo de Wushu 2016 (incluido el Campeonato de Taijiquan y Neijiaquan de la EWUF).

   El Equipo IEWA será tratado en los Campeonatos de Wushu Europeo como el resto de equipos de la Federación Europea.

    La Junta Ejecutiva de la EWUF también aprobó los criterios en relación al Equipo de Atletas Independientes de Wushu Europeo (IEWA):

  • El nombre del Equipo será: Equipo Independiente Europeo de Atletas de Wushu. (IEWA en inglés)
  • El equipo IEWA será creado excepcionalmente para el Campeonato Europeo de Wushu de 2016 (incluido el Campeonato de Taijiquan y Neijiaquan)
  • El equipo IEWA será tratado como el resto de equipos.
  • El Equipo IEWA será determinado por la EWUF y reunirá todos los requisitos técnicos necesarios de los atletas, incluyendo: líder del equipo, entrenadores y médico (como por cuotas oficiales).
  • Los uniformes del Equipo serán proporcionados por la EWUF.
  •  Para todas las representaciones oficiales del Equipo (incluidas las ceremonias de las posibles medallas) será subida la bandera de la EWUF y se tocará el himno de la Unión Europea.
  •  En la Ceremonia de Apertura del Campeonato el equipo marchará detrás de la bandera de la EWUF antes del Equipo Ruso anfitrión.
  •  Se contratará una póliza de seguros adecuada.
  •  Se introducirá un proceso de control limpio de doping.
  •  Y el programa de Solidaridad Olímpico de la EWUF compensará una parte de los gastos del Equipo.


    Para que haya tiempo suficiente para consolidar toda la información necesaria sobre los candidatos del Equipo IEWA, la Junta Ejecutiva de la EWUF ha decidido hoy día 28 de Marzo de 2016, abrir la convocatoria de las candidaturas.

    Aquellos atletas dispuestos a unirse al equipo IEWA deben rellenar y enviar los formularios de solicitudes en un plazo de 1 semana, empezando el 28 de marzo y finalizando el 6 de Abril (ambos días inclusive). Después de este límite no serán aceptarán más solicitudes.

    Para la dar la bienvenida al Equipo Independiente de Atletas de Wushu  al Campeonato Europeo de Wushu 2016, la EWUF quiere enviar un fuerte mensaje de apoyo a todos los atletas del Continente Europeo que sufren restricciones artificiales en sus países.

    La vida de un atleta es deporte y competición y adoptando esta decisión la EWUF quiere hacer cumplir los Principios Fundamentales del Olimpismo expuestos en la carta Olímpica: “La práctica de deporte es un derecho humano. Cada individuo debe tener la posibilidad de practicar deporte, sin discriminación de ningún tipo y según el espíritu Olímpico, para los cuales requieren entendimiento mutuo con un espíritu de amistad, solidaridad y juego limpio”

EWUF EB OFFICIAL STATEMENT


As a part of the EWUF’s policy to help potential and active elite wushu athletes affected by the deliberate restrictions and the lack of activity of their respective country’s national wushu federations, the Executive Board (EB) of the European Wushu Federation (EWUF) created a team of Independent European Wushu Athletes (IEWA) for the participation in the European Wushu Championships 2016 (including EWUF Taijiquan & Neijiaquan championships). It will be treated at the European Wushu Championships like all the other teams of the European Wushu Federation.
  
The EWUF EB also approved the criteria surrounding Team Independent European Wushu Athletes (IEWA).


·         The name of the team will be Team Independent European Wushu Athletes (IEWA);
·         The team IEWA will be exceptionally created for the 2016 European Wushu Championships (including Taijiquan and Neijiaquan Championships);
·         The team IEWA will be housed like all the other teams;
·         A team IEWA entourage will be appointed by the EWUF to meet all the required technical needs of the athletes, including: Team leader, coaches and doctor (as per official quotas);
·         The team uniforms will be provided by the EWUF;
·         For all official representations of the team (including possible medal ceremonies), the EWUF flag will be raised and the EU Anthem will be played;
·         The team will march behind the EWUF flag before host team Russia at the Opening Ceremony;
·         An adequate insurance policy will be contracted;
·         A proper doping control process will be introduced;
·         and EWUF’s Olympic Solidarity program will compensate a part of expenses for the team.

In order to allow sufficient time to consolidate all the necessary information about the candidates to the team IEWA, the EB decided today, the 28th of March 2016, to open the call for candidatures.

Those wushu athletes willing to join the team IEWA must fill and send the application forms within a space of 1 week, starting from the 28th of March and ending by the 6th of April (inclusive). After that limit no more application shall be accepted.

By welcoming the team of Independent European Wushu Athletes to the European Wushu Championships 2016, the EWUF wants to send a strong message of support to all athletes on European Continent suffering from artificial restrictions in their country.

The life of an athlete is Sport and Competition, and, by adopting this decision the EWUF wants to enforce the Fundamental Principles of the Olympism exposed in the Olympic Charter: “The practice of sport is a human right. Every individual must have the possibility of practising sport, without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play”. 27.03.2016 London, UK EWUF EB
